Growing Together Intervention

At Faith Primary Academy, we understand the profound benefits gardening has on mental health, which is why we have implemented a weekly gardening intervention. This dedicated time allows children to engage with nature in a therapeutic way, helping to reduce stress, build resilience, and promote emotional well-being. Through hands-on activities such as planting, weeding, and caring for plants, pupils develop a sense of responsibility and accomplishment, boosting their confidence and self-esteem. The sensory experience of working with soil and plants also provides a calming effect, enhancing mindfulness and helping children regulate their emotions. Our gardening intervention not only supports individual mental health but also encourages teamwork and social interaction, fostering a strong sense of community and belonging within the school.
