At Faith Primary Academy, we recognise the vital role positive mental health and wellbeing play in a child’s overall development and success. We are committed to creating a nurturing and inclusive environment where every child feels valued, supported, and heard. Our dedicated staff work to promote emotional resilience and self-confidence through a range of strategies, including wellbeing-focused initiatives, pastoral care, and an open-door policy for students and families. By fostering a culture of care and understanding, we aim to equip our pupils with the tools they need to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
At Faith Primary Academy, our behaviour system is enriched by the integration of the Zones of Regulation program, which is designed to help children develop essential skills for emotional regulation. This framework supports pupils in identifying their emotions and understanding how these feelings influence their actions and behaviours. By categorising emotions into four colour-coded zones, the program provides a simple yet effective way for children to recognise and communicate their feelings. Through this approach, pupils learn strategies to move toward a state of calm and focus, enabling them to make positive choices. Our staff are trained to guide students in using these tools, ensuring they feel empowered to manage their emotions and contribute positively to the school community. This integration promotes self-awareness, resilience, and a consistent approach to behaviour management throughout the academy.
