Art and Design Technology

In Year 2, we alternate from Art to Design Technology each half term. Throughout the year we will engage and acquire different skills and techniques that will help us create our final piece of work. 

The skills that we will learn include: 
Using a range of skills and materials creatively to design and make products
Developing a wide range of art and design techniques in using colour, pattern, texture, line, shape, form and space
Learning about the work of a range of artists, craft makers and designers
Design purposeful, functional, appealing products
Select from and use a range of tools and equipment to perform practical tasks
Evaluate their ideas and products against design criteria
