Art and Design Technology

In Year 3, we alternate from Art to Design Technology each half term. Throughout the year we will engage and acquire different skills and techniques that will help us create our final piece of work.

The skills that we will learn include:
To create sketch books to record their observations and use them to review and revisit ideas
To improve their mastery of art and design techniques, including drawing, painting and sculpture with a range of materials
About great artists, architects and designers in history
Select from and use a wider range of materials and components, including construction materials, textiles and ingredients
Evaluate their ideas and products against their own design criteria and consider the views of others to improve their work
Understand seasonality, and know where and how a variety of ingredients are grown, reared, caught and processed
